How Can We Save Mother Earth?

Because of the growing population, people cause a
huge amount of wastes. The increasing deterioration of
the environment has begun to draw people’s attention. We
humans start to think up the solution for saving the earth.
Everyone can be green by doing it with three Rs-reduce,
reuse, and recycle.
How can we reduce air pollution? First, try to take the
MRT, trains, or buses instead of driving the car. If public
transportation is not available for use in some remote
areas, making a car pool with friends or neighbors is
another way to lead a low-carbon life. Second, stop
burning our own trash or paper money, because it will
cause air pollution when a lot of smoke is released into
the air. If the air pollution is getting worse, it will result in
global warming. Also, rising temperatures could lead to the
extinction of more than a million species. Third, more and
more carbon dioxide emissions are released from fossil fuel
burning power plants because of our increasing addition to
electricity. We can minimize the electrical energy usage by
turning off lights and fans when not in use.
How can we save the earth by reusing things? When
we go to restaurants or food stands for meals, we can
carry chopsticks or spoons with us. In that way, we can
reuse our own utensils and reduce lots of plastic covers
which are used for wrapping bamboo chopsticks.
Besides, we also can reuse shopping bags made of
cloth instead of buying plastic bags everytime we go to
supermarkets to buy necessities. In addition, we can reuse
cloth towels to dry our hands for at least five times in place
of wasting lots of paper towels. The more paper towels we
use, the more trees are cut down. Each of us can save the
earth by changing the way we live and encouraging others
around us to do so as well.
How can we save Mother Earth by recycling? Before
throwing the garbage we make, we need to sort it out. If
we make good use of recycled materials, we can be green.
Some specialists are studying various ways to recycle
garbage into fuel. If that works, we won’t have to worry
about the rising price of the gasoline and the energy crisis.
Try to draw, write or make copies on both sides of paper
and recycle paper, cardboard and paper utensils. There are
many more recyclables we can help sort. If we all do our
part, slowly but surely, we will save the planet. All forms of
recycling can make the earth a better place to live as long
as everyone living on it makes efforts to be eco-friendly.
Mother Earth can live without us, but we can’t live
without Her! In order to keep our environment clean and
safe, try to do it with three Rs and remind everyone around
us of being nice to our own earth. We can save the earth
by making some changes in our daily life. Next time you go
to a concert or party, remember not to litter and bring your
own cups or bags.

I miss my felicity childhood. I miss my 上
grandmother’s cooking, the time I had shared 的
with my brother before he went abroad, and 光
the simple, little treats that were enough to
make me smile with joy.
I used to look forward to having dinner
when I was a little girl. My grandma cooked
for my whole family. The dishes she cooked
were simple but wholesome and most
importantly, they were prepared and made
with love that made them taste delicious and
unforgettable.
I often play with my brother. We did
many silly things together, and we shared a
lot of secrets. As soon as I took a glance at
him, I knew what he was thinking. I followed
him everywhere he went. I miss the time
when we didn’t need a particular reason to
laugh out loud or just to smile. I miss the
time when we played game-boy under our
blankets at night. I miss the time when my
brother made me feel lighthearted, easy, and
fun.
I always had a sweet tooth. A lollipop
could make me smile all day long. I miss
that innocent smile and the joy from which
it sprang. I also miss my pure, trouble free
mind.
However, time waits for no one. Although
I’m still young, but my childhood days are
gone. I cannot taste my grandmother’s
cooking any longer, my brother doesn’t live
with me, and candies don’t taste the same
anymore. Although I have grown older, and
the world and I both lost our innocence, the
blissful memories of the past will always be
with me. Time may pass and things may
change, but felicity will always exist in my
heart even only as a memory of the good old
days and a hope for their miraculous return.
